The background wood is stained dark brown on all sides and made of 1/2 inch Baltic birch plywood. The letters are made of 1/4 inch Baltic birch plywood and mounted to the background. The light colored wood letters on the dark background creates a beautiful contrast! Not recommend for outdoor use in the direct elements.

We ordered two, one for each of our sons. They came earlier than expected and are gorgeous. Well worth the money. The only downfall was the smell, it was either the stain or the glue. Very overwhelming. I set them outside to air out for a couple days and they were just fine. Highly recommend.
